This past weekend in the LBA Division Two, all eyes were on two teams: the Vision Shooters and the T.S. Warriors. Both squads remained undefeated after conquering the Bong Eagles in separate games.
The T.S. Warriors got off to a slow start against the Eagles, trailing at halftime. However, Simeon Kennedy exploded for a game-high 33 points, including 5 three-pointers, to lead his team to a 60-52 victory. Emmanuel Kollie’s 22 points weren’t enough for the Eagles, who return home winless after their weekend trip to Monrovia.
The Vision Shooters faced a determined Bong Eagles team the following day. The first quarter was a high-scoring affair, with Vision Shooters edging out a narrow 24-23 lead. A scary moment occurred in the 3rd quarter when the Vision Shooters’ captain suffered a cut above his eye, forcing him to leave the game temporarily. However, he returned sporting a bandage and displayed true leadership, guiding his team alongside Ayoba Swaray, who put up a stellar performance with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Abel G Glay (21 pts) and Karlos Rogers (20 pts) also provided valuable contributions to secure a win for the Vision Shooters.
Now, with both teams boasting perfect 4-0 records, the stage is set for a highly anticipated clash this Wednesday! This “Super Wednesday” matchup promises to be a thrilling battle for LBA D2 supremacy.
Who will remain undefeated?
Simeon Kennedy’s scoring prowess will be a major factor for the T.S. Warriors. However, Vision Shooters have a well-rounded attack with Swaray leading the charge, ably supported by Glay and Rogers. The return of their captain, even with a bandage, could be a significant boost for their morale and defensive strategy.
This game promises to be a nail-biter! Make sure to tune in and witness the rise of a new LBA D2!
