Asaad R. Fadel, General Manager of Mano Manufacturing donates a digital score board to the Liberia Basketball Association. He is also the Head Coach of the Mighty Barrolle basketball team.
The handling over ceremony was done at half time of the match between Invincible Eleven and Bushrod Bulls.
During his remarks, Asaad, as he is normally called by people in the basketball circle, stated his desire to continue to play his role in the development of basketball in Liberia.
“This is a great opportunity in giving back to the game,” he stated.
Thanking him, was Mr. Abraham Samukai, prexy for the LBA. He took the time to ask other meaningful persons in the community to also immolate the kind gesture of Mr. Fadel.
“We stand here this evening grateful for the kind donation extended to us. I want to assure you sir, that the equipment will be used for the intended purpose. It will go a long way in the development of basketball.”
Assad is a lover of basketball and there are many instances to prove such. In order to have his team compete and win championships, he is noted for brining down foreign imports to beef his squad.
This lead to increase in the game attendance as many troop to Sports Commission when his team is competing in order to take a glimpse of these imports.
Last year, Asaad and his side won the championship.
