The female team of the Commissioners Sports Association are on the verge of sweeping Invincible Eleven (f). They are currently up two to nothing in the best of five series.
Game one was a much easier battle for the Commissioners girls where they led most of the game. Yesterday was a different ball game as they needed to come from behind to win.
It was late in the third quarter they were able to finally get a lead through a layup by Michelle Nyanneh.
Michelle Nyanneh led her team with 22 PTS to go along with 22 REBS! Her name is clearly ringing in the basketball circles as this year’s MVP. She currently averages 16 PTS, 17REB for the season.
Her teammate, Rose Emmanuel added 19PTS to give them the much deserved win.
Invincible Eleven (f) had three females score in double figures. Mirelle Nhe, Cynthia Tarr and Mona Kimba each had 22, 16, and 10 points respectively. Cynthia added 12 rebounds to her stats.
Coach Moses of Commissioners in a brief discussion after the game said, “There is no need to take this series longer than three games. We look to finish them come Wednesday.”
If what he says is to be true, Invincible Eleven (f) will cap their season with a sweep on September 21 at 6:00PM at the SKD.
We are hearing Mirelle has traveled outside for an Olympic related event. Once confirmed it means IE might be in a much more serious situation as she is their leading scorer.
