Fred Pratt, the Acting Secretary General of the Liberia Basketball Association has announced this basketball season format.

There has been a lot of speculation in recent times.

While some persons wished it to be a one round affairs, others are advocating for a home and away format. No matter which side of the fence you sit, both has its pros and cons as it relates to our current basketball environment.

Now there is no need to speculate.

Mr. Fred Pratt in a WhatsApp communication spotted by Liberiabasketball.net stated:

Phase 2. Super Six (Round Robin)

Phase 3. Big Four

Phase 4. Final

The Big Four Pairing

1 vs 4
2 vs 3.

The second round will start May 1st 2022.

As can be seen, the second round of phase one is expected to start on May 1st.

Once the new fixtures are released, it will be posted here on this platform.

In the same communication, the ASG concluded, “If there is rain, all games will be moved to the SKD Indoor Gym.”

No matter your opinion regarding the league format, one thing is certain. There will be more fireworks.
