Gittens 23PTS Lifts Bulls Over Barrolle (Video Highlights)

William Gittens (#0) after their victory over Mighty Barrolle had this to say: I told them for a fact (that) after the injury I am going to return and today I scored twenty three.

It was Barrolle and Bulls third meeting this season and the Bulls swept the Pepper Boys. It doesn’t look good if they both will have to meet in the playoffs. But as others say, the playoffs are a different ball game.

The game was intense from the beginning with Bulls taking an early lead. At one point they were up double digit leads.

Barrolle fought hard before the end of the half and brought the deficit to a single digit and were down by a bucket and a half.

The second quarter started well for the defending champions. With long range shootings, they were up by 13 pts entering the final quarter.

The Bulls had some early runs in the fourth, which cut the Rollers lead. Some costly turnovers and second chance points had them within single possession to tie the score.

The turning point came in the game when Gittens hit a three pointer at the top of the key from an assist from Austin Coleman which gave them the lead there.

Brian Nyangbe of Mighty Barrolle, going back to wearing his original number, 13, led all scorers with 29PTS. In the dying seconds Brian instead of going clutch decided to give the ball to James Bedeah who stepped out of bounds.

With the victory, Bulls are now with two victories and a loss. Their next game is against NPA Pythons who are yet to defeat the Bulls this season.
