Liberian Basketball League Finals

Mighty Barrolle is on the brink of a three peat. The Rollers are a game away! Mighty Barrolle made their way to the finals for the third time in a row after sweeping LPRC Oilers in a best of three series. Cestos Mogars also found their way to the finals by defeating NPA Pythons 2-1 in a best of three. The Cestos boys were remarkable in the final game when they came back from a 20pts deficit in the last quarter.

In game one on Friday, September 13th, Mighty Barrolle started on an early 20-0 run which saw them holding on to that lead all through out the match. John Williams was man of the match scoring 19pts.

In Game 2 of the series, Cestos Mogars started strong in the first quarter. But that did not last long as Barrolle was always within a striking distance. By the last quarter, Cestos Mogars was gassed and Barrolle rolled all the way to a 0-57 victory. Joseph Chibuzor was man of the match with 15pts, 19reb.

Invincible Eleven’s Upset Bid

In the women’s division, Invincible Eleven has caused a major upset by defeating the defending champions, Commissioners. The two-time champions are now facing the challenge of overcoming a deficit and securing a three-peat. Michelle Nyanneh has been a standout performer for Invincible Eleven.

Division Two Thriller

The Division Two finals between Spartacus and Highway Kings have been filled with excitement. Spartacus staged a remarkable comeback in Game One, overcoming a double-digit deficit to win by a single point in the final seconds. The series is set to continue with Game Two on Tuesday at the SKD Gym.
