The 2022 Basketball Africa League concludes today with the final between Clube Atlético Petroleos de Luanda of Angola going up against Union Sportive Monastirienne of Tunisia.
US Monastir got a second chance to compete for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) trophy after beating Zamalek in Wednesday’s second semifinal in Kigali. Zamalek was unbeaten before then since the inception of BAL.

There will be a new Basketball Africa League (BAL) champion. Monastir are chasing their first-ever African title, Petro de Luanda are looking for their third continental trophy.
US Monastir finished second in the Sahara Conference played in Dakar in March while Petro de Luanda finished second in the Nile Conference played in Cairo in April.
When it comes to points scored per game, both teams are evenly matched at 80+. The Angolan champions recorded 23 assists per contest while US Monastir registered 21 dimes per game. The both also average 31.3% from beyond the arc.
Both teams also averaged 40 rebounds per game. The only statline the Champions from Angla has over their rival is that they are shooting 47% from the field as compared to 43% for their opponents.
