The 2022 Liberia Basketball Association season is creeping to its finale! Fast rising Bushrod Bulls has made a team history by reaching its first final since entering the D1 in 2017. Mighty Barrolle is on the verge of title defense which they won last season.

Both teams won 2-0 in a best of three series. Bushrod Bulls defeated NPA Pythons for a record five times in a season which has many considering them title favorites. Mighty Barrolle did the same with the Invincible Eleven by defeating them in all meetings this season.

The storyline many had hoped for was to see a traditional rivalry as three of the final four teams except Bushrod Bulls have been on the scene for decades.

As the final date is yet to be decided, tongues are already wagging on who the title favorite is. Bushrod Bulls though a favorite cause of their dominance over Barrolle this season yet are considered the underdogs.

In the female division, Invincible Eleven female team will be looking to dethrone defending Champions Commissioners (f). Both teams defeated their opponents 2-0 in a best of three series. IE girls won over Vision Angels while Commissioners (f) had an easier outing over Desert Ladies.

Commissioners (f) are definitely set to regain their championship.

In the Second Division, Barnesville Dragons yesterday had the greatest comeback win in D2 Final Four history. Entering the game with a game ahead of Royal Legends, Dragons overcame a 17pts deficit in the fourth quarter to stun the Legends. The victory had them 2-0 in the best of three series and is awaiting the winner from Highway Kings vs Visioneers. Visioneers leads that series 1-0.

Vision Shooters, in the third division, has already booked their spot in the D3 finals by beating Dreamers twice in their final four encounter. They will be looking to play either Spatacus or Hoops Care which series is tied one apiece.

It has been an exciting season so far with the break and twist. As we get closer to its end, all we can say is expect nothing but explosions!!!
