One of Liberia‘s renowned former player turn coach has been placed on suspension by the Liberia Basketball Association.

The coach (name withheld) had a violent outburst during his side lost last week.

It reached a boiling point when the coach felt that a call which was not right was  made against him.

He stormed the officials table in a violent tantrum that had the game paused for a moment.

The coach also went on to rain invectives against the Technical Director of the association.

The Acting Secretary General of the LBA, Mr. Pratt when contacted confirmed the suspension.

“We will not tolerate such behavior from any coach. I hope this suspension serve as a caveat to the rest of the coaching body,” said the ASG.

The ASG was also quick to add that the coach has written an apology letter for his behavior.

Quizzed whether the letter of apology will reduce the suspension, the ASG had no comment about that.

Liberiabasketball.net will like to take this time to advice coaches to exhibit exemplary behavior to serve as role model to their players.

With the coach suspension it probably means he might be away from the team the rest of the season.

Do you think the LBA decision is too harsh? Let us know in the comment session.
