As the NPA Pythons entered the Sports Commission, one person stood out to their fans. The #15 man, John Williams Jr.
They had seen him in Pythons first two season openers wherein they were underman but still got the victories.
John Williams Jr had been a huge part in those crackers. Then the injury.
The injury though started minor, limited J. Williams to only light scrimmage and personal developmental drills.
John Williams started as point guard on this night. Along with him, Joel Martor , who is currently averaging 11 PPG at the back court. He had 14pts for the night along with three assists.
LPRC Oilers were in full as well with Samuel Kpannie and Samuel Davidson in action. Both scored in double figures. Scoring 12 and 10 respectively. S. Kpannie had another off shooting night. He was held to 1-7 from behind the arch. Shooting 14.3%. Currently he is shooting 20% for the season. Probably the lowest in his career. Knowing Samuel he will find a way to get his mojo back.
Credit shouldn’t be taken from Pythons defense. They did a great job defending their perimeters as well, while taking away comfortable shots.
NPA Pythons next big match up is against the defending champions. But first, they will have to jump the Monrovia Pistons hurdle.
Emmanuel Manzo WurehEmmanuel Manzo Wureh of Pistons had this to say about their upcoming encounter with Pythons.
