Team Hustlers are on a mission to become the National 3×3 Champion. They qualified to the maiden event by winning the Kakata Open Run Tour.
3×3 Liberia is a new brand in the local basketball community. The brand looks to promote 3-on-3 basketball as a world class event in Liberia. As you may remember, their first event was the Monrovia Open Run which saw Flight Nation and Ladies Lioness winning the male and female categories respectively.
The Kakata event took place last Saturday at the Booker Washington Institute Basketball Court. The event witnessed seven teams competing. Teams were placed into a pool with the first and second placed advancing to the semis.
Team Hustlers are expected to represent at the national championship which will be held on the 30th of September in Monrovia. Other teams from Kakata include Thunder, Shooting Stars and Big Four.
They will be joining the top four from the Monrovia event as well. They are Flight Nation, Bhad Boyz, 3 Men and Rim Reapers.
The tour’s next stop is Gbarnga which is slated for the 16th of this month at the T-Gray Gym.
Note that qualification to FIBA 3×3 Official Events is based on the 3×3 Federation Ranking, hence the activity of any 3×3 organizer will benefit the qualification chances of the respective country.
