Visioneers came into this match needing a compulsory win and to also make a statement.  A win to have them in a better position for the second round, and a statement that they are still a force to recon with.

Visioneers has performed poorly against teams below .500. They lost to Royal Legends and Georgia Warriors. Both teams are currently not in playoff contention.

A statement win in that Bushrod Ballers has the best record in the D2 and were just from a 50 points margin against Sac Base. A victory over them might change opinions of some that this current crop of players are in the shadows of the club pioneers.

Anthony Quadri and Gabriel Richards lead the team attack with support from new comers Justin Matthews and Augustus Zondoe. They all scored in double digits.

Michael Tsiko played a more facilitator role. He controlled the game through out dishing seven assists to add to his 6PTS.

At a point in time, Visioneers was up by 26PTS margin.

Then in the third quarter Visioneers went flat. Perhaps due to the long pause after the halftime break when one of the refs had to leave for an urgent matter.

Once the game resumed, Bushrod Ballers stepped up their attacks while Visioneers was kept on their back heels.

Ballers brought the margin to a single point but could not muster enough to take a lead.

Visioneers remained compose on each possession. Running a three-men or two-men play. Probably their composure helped them remain calm to collect the victory eventually.

Bushrod Ballers started with their trademark 2-2-1 full court press which only slowed their opponent but didn’t yield much steal in the first half.

George Barjino and Abraham Tengbeh both scored 26PTS apiece for their side. George was very limited in the final quarter of the game. He had four personal fouls and had to manage his on-ball defense.

Bushrod Ballers saw a glimpse of hope when Gabriel Richards and Lawrence Sawyer both fouled out. They they were down 10PTS and it was late in the fourth quarter.

Ballers resumed their full court which they had not gone to the whole of the second half.

It resulted in some late turnovers which lead to easy baskets but their opponent held on for a three points margin win as the final buzzer sounded.

Visioneers next game is this Friday against Sac Base.
