Hopefully Pistons don’t become the next ‘Commissioners’ in Phase II.

Pistons lackluster performance is putting a dent to the team’s illustrious history.

Brian Nyangbe led all scorers with 20PTS, 3REB and a couple of assists. His highlight for the night was his three pointer which made it 100PTS with less than ten seconds on the game clock.

Five of Barrolle players scored in double figures.

Import Celestine Nwafor had sixteen points to go along with twelve rebounds. His fellow Nigerian import Anec Ejeh contributed five points, ten rebounds.

Alhassan Keita helped his side with 18PTS, 10REB in their loss. He continues to fight for this team as a lone ranger and will definitely need help from the likes of Emmanuel Manzo Wureh and Juweh Wojolo if they are to make the playoffs.

From how it stands, Monrovia Pistons might become the Mandingo Drum for the current phase of the league.

Mohammed Kamara doesn’t think so. “We will beat Cestos Mogars so not everyone we will lose to,” he quipped when approached regarding them getting a win in this phase.

Well, we don’t know about that but what we know is with such strong showing of Barrolle they look ready to retain the championship.

Others are not in the same thought frame. They believe that come May 14 is the answer needed when Barrolle will be looking to avenge the degrading defeat from Bushrod Bulls in Phase I.

Whatever the case, the “Red Boys” has made a statement.
